Part of apartment building and school destroyed in Russian attack on Sloviansk

OLENA ROSHCHINA[1] - WEDNESDAY, 7 SEPTEMBER 2022, 08:27 Russian forces once again attacked the city of Sloviansk in Donetsk Oblast on the night of 6-7 September, damaging a school and an apartment building. Civilians may still remain trapped under the rubble.

School No.4 was damaged.

Fortunately, there were no casualties.

The second attack hit an [apartment] building at 43 Torska Street, destroying a whole section of the building. The blast wave also damaged several neighbouring buildings." Details: The head of the Sloviansk hromada (an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories) said that civilians might remain trapped under the rubble of the destroyed apartment block.

Rescue and search operations are currently underway.

The number of casualties has yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, Kyrylenko reported that Russian forces killed three civilian residents of Donetsk Oblast on 6 September: in Heorhiivka, Krasnohorivka and Paraskoviivka.
