“The 202nd Regiment retreated to Luhansk, half of them in captivity”: occupier reveals how Russians escaped from Balakliia
ROMAN PETRENKO -- SATURDAY, 10 SEPTEMBER, 2022, 10:09 A Russian soldier from the so-called "LPR" [self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic] says that the 202nd Regiment of the Russian military, which had captured Balakliia [Kharkiv Oblast], fled to Luhansk; half of the soldiers from this regiment were captured. Details: The occupier says [in the conversation] that his comrades fled from Balakliia to Luhansk on foot [more than 270 km - ed.], and he sat there without a bulletproof vest, wearing a helmet made in 1945.
The soldier also complains to the woman on the phone that they would also flee on foot during the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and she asks him if he was shown which way to run.
