VALENTYNA ROMANENKO - SUNDAY, 11 SEPTEMBER 2022 17:08 The Defence Forces of Ukraine have liberated over 40 cities, towns and villages in Kharkiv Oblast. Source: Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, in an interview for Dumka, a Ukrainian media outlet, quoted by the press service of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration

Details: Syniehubov said that the number of towns and villages that have been liberated exceeds several dozen. As of today [Sunday, 11 September - ed.], Ukraine has regained control over more than 40 settlements.

However, the head of the Oblast Military Administration noted that "many more [have been liberated], but the total number cannot be disclosed in the interest of the military operation that is currently being conducted by our Armed Forces." Quote from Syniehubov: "We have liberated a significant part of the Chuhuiv district, and the Kupiansk and Balakliia districts.

Our units have entered the city of Kupiansk and are continuing to liberate towns and villages in the Izium district... Overall, our Armed Forces are continuing to maintain their positions on the northern and northeastern fronts. The enemy is relentlessly trying to attack them, trying to breach their defences, using all types of weapons. [Russian forces are carrying out] missile strikes, using multiple-launch rocket systems and tubed artillery, and conducting airstrikes on our positions."
