Zelenskyy convenes another meeting of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff: Security measures for liberated towns and villages approved
KATERYNA TYSHCHENKO - SATURDAY, 10 SEPTEMBER 2022, 19:20 President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine convened another meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on Saturday, 10 September. The attendees discussed and made decisions regarding security in the recently liberated cities, towns and villages.
Source: Office of the President of Ukraine Quote: "First of all, the participants of the meeting heard reports made by the commanders of various operational groups regarding the defence forces' efforts to liberate Ukrainian territories. Following this, they approved a number of relevant measures, including measures that concern security of the liberated towns and villages."
Details: The attendees also discussed the outcomes of the fifth meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group at Ramstein Air Base, which ended the day before, on 9 September.
The Office of the President of Ukraine writes that "Ensuring cooperation with Ukraine's partners in the medium and long terms is an urgent priority in light of the situation on the front." The participants of the meeting also discussed the ground lines of communication of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and set out the most urgent needs of the Ukrainian defence forces.

The meeting was attended by Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defence of Ukraine, and his deputy Rostyslav Zamlynskyi; Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Serhii Shaptala, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Yurii Lebid, Commander of the National Guard; Viktor Khorenko, Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Vasyl Maliuk, Acting Head of the Security Service of Ukraine; Denys Monastyrskyi, Minister of Internal Affairs; Dmytro Kuleba, Minister for Foreign Affairs; Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Infrastructure; Oleksii Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council; Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, and his deputy Roman Mashovets.
Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence; Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Serhii Litvinov, Commander of the Forces of the Operational Command Zakhid (West); and Andrii Kovalchuk, Commander of the Forces of the Operational Command Pivden (South), joined the meeting remotely. - On 8 September, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the city of Balakliia in Kharkiv Oblast had been liberated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On 10 September, Nataliia Popova, advisor to the head of the Kharkiv Oblast Council, reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had liberated the city of Kupiansk from the occupiers.
- On 10 September, Nataliia Humeniuk, spokesperson of the Operational Command Pivden (South) press centre, reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also conducting a successful counteroffensive in the south of Ukraine. As of now they have advanced several dozen kilometres on various fronts.
- On 10 September, Serhii Haidai, Head of the Luhansk Oblast Military Administration, said that the Ukrainian forces were on the outskirts of previously Russian-held Lysychansk.
