Zelenskyy thanks Armed Forces for reclaiming Yampil and Lyman: Ukraine takes over initiative in war

More details: The President has mentioned soldiers of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade and the 54th Mechanised Brigade, thanking them "for unwavering courage and heroism on the Siversk and Bakhmut fronts", as well as soldiers of the 214th Separate Rifle Battalion, Special Operation Forces, and the 103rd Separate Territorial Defence Brigade for liberating Yampil. He has also expressed gratitude to the units of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Chief Intelligence Directorate.

Previously: The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had likely finished the encirclement of the Russian grouping near Lyman in Donetsk Oblast on the evening of 29 September.
According to some reports, the Ukrainian forces will be able to liberate the city if Russians don't get any reinforcements. On 30 September, Serhii Cherevatyi, Speaker of the Eastern group of troops, said that the encirclement of the Russian forces near Lyman in Donetsk Oblast was "at the final stage". Additionally, Ukrainian soldiers have reclaimed the town of Yampil, Donetsk Oblast, not far from Lyman city, which is now almost encircled by Ukrainian forces.
