Quote: "The participating parties of the [Grain] Initiative - the UN, Turkiye, and Ukraine - expressed their readiness to continue operating and assured maximum efforts for its successful implementation. There is no doubt that the grain corridor will continue operating after November 22."
Details: Over 7.7 million tonnes of agricultural products have been exported from Ukraine via the "grain corridor" since the launch of the grain initiative on 22 July. This has helped stabilise food prices and mitigate the threat of global hunger.
Oleksandr Kurbakov was party to the agreement on the initiative on the safe transportation of grain and food products from the Ukrainian ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdenny, valid until 22 November 2022.
Previously: Four bulk carriers loaded with 140,000 tonnes of Ukrainian agricultural exports sailed from the ports of Odesa and Pivdennyi on Sunday, 16 October.
