Russia transfers tanks, armored vehicles and artillery to Belarus

This was announced by the head of the Belarusian Defense Ministry's Department for International Military Cooperation Valery Revenko. He said that about 9,000 Russian servicemen will arrive in Belarus from the Russian Federation. In addition, about 170 tanks, up to 200 armored combat vehicles and about 100 guns and mortars with a caliber of more than 100 mm will be transferred to the country along with personnel.

The first echelons of Russian servicemen, who are part of the regional group of troops, began arriving in Belarus on October 15.

It is emphasized there that the decision to create this group of troops was adopted and implemented allegedly "in the interests of strengthening the protection and defense of the border of the Union State." The deployment of troops "is dictated by continuous activity in the areas bordering Belarus."

On October 16, flights of Russian MiG-31 fighters were recorded in the capital of Belarus. These aircraft can be armed with R-37 long-range hypersonic air-to-air missiles, or be carriers of Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missiles, which the Russians use to strike the territory of Ukraine. The fighter jets were landing at the Machulishchy airport.
