Russian forces prepare to withdraw artillery from Dnipro’s right bank in Kherson Oblast – General Staff report

Quote: "According to the available information, enemy forces are preparing to withdraw artillery units from the right bank [of the River Dnipro] in Kherson Oblast, with their subsequent possible transfer to other fronts."
Details: The General Staff additionally reported that the occupation authorities in the temporarily Russian-occupied territory of Kherson Oblast are trying to render the territories under their control unfit for living. For example, they disabled Internet access in Nova Kakhovka on 29 October 2022 and have since used loudspeakers throughout the city to urge local residents to leave Kherson Oblast within 48 hours, claiming that there is a threat that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will carry out missile strikes on the area. Local hospitals' medical personnel and municipal emergency response service workers are first in line for the so-called "evacuation".
In addition, the occupation authorities issued a decree mandating that local business owners sell off all food products and close shops and markets as of 1 November 2022.

Over the course of 30 October, Russian forces carried out 3 missile strikes and 1 airstrike, as well as more than 30 attacks from multiple-launch rocket systems. Over 15 cities, towns and villages came under Russian attack, including Kupiansk (Kharkiv Oblast), Bereznehuvate and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv Oblast).
There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. The Republic of Belarus is continuing to aid and support Russia's military aggression against Ukraine. The Russian Federation continues to transfer its troops to the territory of Belarus.
There is an ongoing threat of missile and air strikes from the territory of Belarus, including with the use of attack UAVs. On other fronts, the Russians continued to fire on military and civilian targets:
- On the Slobozhanshchyna front: Russian forces deployed tanks, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Veterynarne, Dvorichna, Starytsia, Strilecha and Chuhunivka (Kharkiv Oblast);
- On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts: Russian forces deployed various types of artillery on areas in and around Kyslivka and Olhivka (Kharkiv Oblast), Hrekivka and Nevske (Luhansk Oblast) and Zarichne (Donetsk Oblast);
- On the Bakhmut front: Russian forces deployed tanks, mortars, and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Andriivka, Bakhmut, Maiorsk, Nevske, Opytne, Siversk and Soledar (Donetsk Oblast);
- On the Avdiivka front: Russian forces deployed tanks, mortars, and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Avdiivka, Vodiane, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Oleksandropil (Donetsk Oblast);
- On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts: Russian occupation forces fired on areas in and around Bohoiavlenka, Vremivka, Vuhledar, Novopil and Prechystivka (Donetsk Oblast) and Zaliznychne, Malynivka, Novodanylivka, Olhivske, Charivne and Chervone (Zaporizhzhia Oblast).
- On the Pivdennyi Buh front, around 20 cities, towns and villages situated along the line of contact came under Russian fire.
Over the course of today, Ukrainian aircraft carried out 5 airstrikes on Russian positions: 1 on a cluster of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment; 2 on platoon strong points; and 2 on Russian air defence systems. Ukraine's Missile Forces and Artillery additionally hit one Russian command post.
