The Ukrainian military is detecting the movement of the Russian contingent on the territory of Belarus. According to Serhiy Nayev, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the number of Russian troops in Belarus now accounts for up to a thousand servicemen. Also, several dozen units of various military equipment are deployed there.
"Currently, the Russian Armed Forces military is located on the territory of Belarus with an approximate number of up to 1000 servicemen. Also, 6 Russian attack aircraft, 4 Iskander SRBM systems, and 12 S-400 air defense systems are there,? Nayev said.

The Commander of the Joint Forces also noted that actions to prepare an airfield network and infrastructure to accommodate Russian troops and increase their number are being conducted on the territory of Belarus. Serhiy Nayev stressed that, as of now, the situation at the northern border of Ukraine is controlled.

Ukrainian troops are prepared for a possible enemy offensive from the side of Belarus.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine can increase forces at the northern border if necessary. "We are prepared for the offensive from Belarus as of now. We must understand that the troops that will be accumulated in Belarus will increase their readiness and their aggressiveness.
Accordingly, the military command will also build up our forces and means," he said. Previously, Lukashenko and Putin agreed to deploy a joint regional group of troops. Its basis, as stated, will be the army of Belarus.

On October 11, the inspection of the armed forces of Belarus began.
The process is complex in nature: they will inspect the general readiness of the troops to perform tasks. Military units will exercise the process of bringing to combat readiness. The Belarusian authorities also help Russia supply the military with winter uniforms and equipment.
