The United States unveils a new $725 million aid package to Ukraine

Details of the new aid package were announced by the Pentagon. This defense assistance comprises weapons and equipment necessary to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, the package includes:
- Additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);
- 23,000 155mm artillery rounds;
- 500 precision-guided 155mm artillery rounds;
- 5,000 155mm rounds of Remote Anti-Armor Mine (RAAM) Systems;
- 5,000 anti-tank weapons;
- High-speed Anti-radiation missiles (HARMs);
- More than 200 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs);
- Small arms and more than 2,000,000 rounds of small arms ammunition;
- Medical supplies.

The Pentagon emphasized that to meet Ukraine's evolving battlefield requirements, the United States will continue to work with its Allies and partners to provide Ukraine with key capabilities.

As previously reported, on October 14, Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that Ukraine will receive NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems this month.
New anti-aircraft systems will help strengthen the air defense of Ukraine.
NASAMS SAM launchersOn October 13, the Secretary General of NATO announced that Ukraine will soon receive means for jamming Russian and Iranian drones from the allies of the alliance.

These weapons are transferred to strengthen the air defense of Ukraine, which is designed to protect the country from Russian missile and air strikes.

The Norwegian government will allocate funds for the purchase of artillery ammunition for Ukraine. The funds will cover the supply of 17,000 122 mm and 152 mm caliber ammunition.
