Video from liberated Lyman: Russians are fleeing

The footage shows a street with dense traffic, including trucks and military equipment.

Previously: On 1 October, the head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak published a video of Ukrainian soldiers near the stele at the entrance to the city of Lyman.
Background:
- On the morning of 1 October, Serhii Haidai, the head of the Luhansk Military Administration, reported that an estimated 5,000 Russian soldiers were encircled in the city of Lyman, Donetsk Oblast.
- Serhii Cherevatyi, the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Ukrainian Forces, reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had liberated 5 settlements near Lyman; stabilisation measures are currently underway there.
- The Institute for the Study of War predicts that Ukrainian forces will likely completely encircle or liberate Lyman within the next 72 hours.
- Previously, the Institute for the Study of War reported that on the evening of 29 September, the Armed Forces of Ukraine completed the encirclement of the Russian grouping in Lyman.
According to some reports, the Ukrainian military would be able to liberate the city if the Russians did not receive reinforcements.
- On 30 September, Serhii Cherevatyi, the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Ukrainian Forces, reported that the encirclement of the Russian group near Lyman was "at the final stage."
- On 30 September, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had taken the initiative in the war and was achieving tangible results; in particular, he confirmed the liberation of Yampil and the success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Lyman.
