Russian “Holodomor 2.0” plans will be ruined
Andrii Yermak, the Head of the Ukrainian President's Office, has said that the International Summit on Food Security held in Kyiv had proved that the Russian authorities will not succeed in dooming the poorest countries to starvation through their actions in Ukraine. Source: Andrii Yermak on Telegram Quote: "Grain from Ukraine.
The International Summit on Food Security was held on Holodomor Memorial Day. An event during which the world made it clear that the Russians' plans for 'Holodomor 2.0' will be ruined. More than two dozen heads of state and leaders of international organisations took part in the summit.
There were presidents, prime ministers and other leaders of the EU, and representatives of other countries, UN organisations, the US Agency for International Development and other international development foundations."
Details: Yermak said he had been appointed as coordinator of the Grain from Ukraine programme on the instructions of the President. Yermak explained that the main essence of the Grain from Ukraine project is that every state or international organisation that participates will be able to buy Ukrainian grain for other states and help them to avoid famine. Yermak emphasised that this will also help Ukraine's economy.

He noted that on 15 November, with the support of the German government and the World Food Programme, the Nord Vind set sail loaded with 27,000 tonnes of food-grade wheat for the people of Ethiopia. On 26 November, the loading of a second vessel, the Calisto, began in the port of Chornomorsk. That is another 30,000 tonnes of wheat for the people of Ethiopia.
Three more vessels, the Neva, the Kerem and the Rubimar, are also on their way to Ukrainian ports; they will be able to transport 82,000 tonnes of wheat for the needs of countries on the verge of starvation.
"We will not allow millions of people on the planet to go without food because of the madness of one dictator," Yermak promised.
