Previously: Russian authorities called upon the international community to prosecute Ukraine for the alleged killing of unarmed Russian "prisoners of war" by the Ukrainian military, referring to the video of the ostensible murder of Russians during their surrender. Judging from the video that leaked onto the internet, one of the Russian soldiers opened fire on the Ukrainian troops instead of putting down his arms and surrendering. The actual moment of the shooting was not shown on the video. Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Ombudsman, emphasised that Russians have committed a war crime by pretending to surrender and then shooting at the members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
