The press service of the National Guard of Ukraine reports about this. While working in the settlements of Shopyne, Tokarivka, and Hoptivka, the military interviewed the local population, conducted reconnaissance, and discovered MON-90, MON-50, and OZM-72 mines, as well as landmines. The military noted that they found explosive devices within the settlements; therefore, the local population could have been affected by the explosion.
The demining of this mine corridor was carried out on the spot.

If they would have entered the settlement, the personnel and equipment would blow up. We also discovered a landmine and demined it for further use in our interests," national guard soldier Vadym shared. The discovered explosive devices also included homemade ones.
"In addition to MON-90 and MON-50, we found five OZM-72s - these are the jumping mines, so-called "frog mines". They throw the warhead up to a meter high and are triggered in the air. Also, while going through the mine corridor, we discovered a high-explosive shell filled with two kilograms of TNT and an improvised explosive device with nails and cartridges," the National Guardsman with the call sign" Adistron" explained.

This should damage a possible breakthrough or enemy attack.

Territories are being demined by the Ukrainian sappers. Due to the big scope of work and associated challenges, foreign partners are assisting with the training of new specialists and providing demining equipment. Ukraine is already using the Armtac 400 mine-clearing vehicle.
It is equipped with a remote control active at a distance of up to 800 meters, which guarantees the safety of the operator. Armtac 400 can clean over 2400 sq. m. of territory per hour, neutralizing explosive residues at a depth of 55 cm.

The vehicle's design protects it from anti-tank mines weighing up to 10 kg. Ukraine already receives demining assistance from the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Denmark, Norway, Estonia, Austria, Poland, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, Slovakia, and UN institutions.
The defense ministers of Cyprus and Latvia also announced that their instructors within the European training mission will mainly focus on demining. Ukraine is also negotiating with New Zealand regarding demining aid. It is currently unknown whether this purely regards training, or also covers assistance with technical means.
