Heat supply is gradually being restored in Kyiv Oblast after Russian missile attacks, while emergency power outages continue. More than 600,000 people are still without electricity. Source: Oleksii Kuleba, Head of Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, on air during the national joint 24/7 newscast
Quote from Kuleba: "Kyiv Oblast continues to recover from missile attacks. Unfortunately, at the moment, only half of the consumers in Kyiv Oblast can be supplied with electricity. Accordingly, 50% are now without electricity.
But these are not always the same consumers. Switching [of the power supply - ed.] is underway. People [power engineers - ed.] have been working around the clock for the past two days to restore electricity supply.
We intend to resume the scheduled outages on Tuesday [20 December - ed.]."
Details: The head of the Oblast Military Administration noted that more than 600,000 people are now without electricity. Power engineers are not yet able to return to the schedules that the oblast reached just three days ago. The Bila Tserkva district and the city of Bila Tserkva, as well as the Brovary district and the city of Brovary suffered the most from Russian strikes.
According to Kuleba, the heat supply was restored in Bila Tserkva at 04:00 on 18 December, and electricity supply was restored in Brovary the day before.
