Last week, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland reported that a "gift from Ukraine" had exploded in the building of the Main Police Directorate of Poland. The ceiling in one of the rooms on the ground floor collapsed, rooms on the second floor were also damaged as a result of the explosion at the Main Police Directorate.

Jaroslaw Szymczyk, the Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Police, was also injured. Later it became known that the "gift" was one of two grenade launchers, which were handed over to the Polish side by Serhii Bondar, Deputy Head of State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Szymczyk said that the grenade launcher exploded when he tried to move it to his office.

As he noted, they assured him that the grenade launchers were fired off and thus safe.

Earlier, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine explained how the grenade launcher that exploded in the police headquarters in Warsaw reached Jaroslaw Szymczyk, Commander-in-Chief of the Police.
