Explosions rock many oblasts of Ukraine, air defence activated
Media and local Telegram channels report explosions in some oblasts after the first wave of Russian missiles launched in the afternoon of 5 December. Residents of Cherkasy Oblast report "sounds similar to explosions" as well.
Telegram channels, which track missile attacks, are writing about the air defence firing in Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Kyiv oblasts. Kim has said that Ukrainian pilots "are working wonders", but did not provide any details. Earlier, the media reported the successful work of air defence in Kharkiv Oblast.

Updated: Correspondents of the Ukrainska Pravda report on explosions in Odesa and Odesa Oblast. Preliminary, there have been strikes and some missiles were shot down. Kuleba reported that anti-air defence systems have been activated, downing the projectiles, but some missiles were still heading for Kyiv Oblast.
