Father and his seven-year-old son injured by a landmine in Kharkiv Oblast

On 28 December, a seven-year-old boy was injured when he stepped on a mine in Kharkiv Oblast; his father ran to help him, then also stepped on an explosive device. Both sustained mine-blast injuries and were hospitalised. Now doctors are providing them with all the necessary treatment." Details: Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, urged the public not to visit forests, forest belts, not to go to roadsides, as well as not to touch suspicious objects and to call emergency services if such objects are found.

Updated at 11:57: The Kharkiv Oblast Prosecutor's Office reported that a father and his son had been injured when they stepped on a mine.

While playing, the boy ran to the bushes and detonated the device.
