Margarita Robles, the Defense Minister of Spain, visited the Academy where the Toledo Training Command began the first training for the Ukrainian military. The group of military personnel who arrived in Spain consists of one officer, one sergeant, 63 soldiers and 4 officers. These trainings are conducted within the framework of the European Union Training Mission for Ukraine.
Margarita Robles examined the residential area where dormitories, Internet rooms and recreation areas are located, and some classrooms were also shown to the Minister. After that, she held a meeting with Ukrainian soldiers, whom she thanked for their sacrifice and courage, because, according to her, they defend "not only their country, but also such values as freedom, democracy and peace." This first rotation of the Ukrainian military undergoes basic training, as it consists mainly of mobilized civilians without previous military experience.
