Occupiers want to remove hryvnia after New Year

In Luhansk Oblast, invaders are planning to take hryvnia out of use and make payment possible only with roubles. Source: Serhii Haidai, Head of Luhansk Oblast Military Administration Quote from Haidai: "Additionally, [the occupiers] are planning to take hryvnia out of use in occupied territories starting on 1 January.

Payment in shops, for services or utility bills will be made only with roubles. 

[Citizens] will be able to exchange hryvnias in bank branches from 1 January 2023." Details: According to Haidai, the occupiers imposed tariffs "retroactively".  For instance, water supply in some houses in Sievierodonetsk was restored only in September-October, but everyone had to pay for it from July.
