Russian invaders do not let people out of occupied territories for 3 days in a row

Russian invaders have stopped letting people leave the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine; not a single resident has left the city since 15 December. Source: Ivan Fedorov, the Mayor of Melitopol, on Telegram Quote from Fedorov: "Ruscists [Russian forces - ed.] have started a new wave of terror; they keep residents who want to leave the occupation for forced 'New Year holidays'.

They have not let a single person out of the occupation [area] starting from 15 December and for 3 days in a row." Details: Fedorov noted that during the week, the invaders only let 174 people out of the occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts to Ukrainian-controlled Zaporizhzhia.

The Mayor also added that filtration on alternative evacuation routes has also been intensified. Previously, it was possible to leave the occupation through Donetsk Oblast or Crimea towards Georgia, Estonia and Latvia, but recently, there have been more cases when the Russians turn Ukrainian cars back at the border of Russia and European countries.

Fedorov believes that the invaders are holding all civilians hostage as a "human shield" because they are afraid of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive.
