Ukraine develops a mine detector for farm machinery

The technology involves the use of unmanned devices that provide search for explosive objects and their marking in the fields. This will simplify the work of explosive services engaged in the demining of de-occupied territories. The technology was created by Frendt LLC together with scientists from Vinnytsia National Technical University.

They combine remote control devices and conventional tractors. "Farm machinery are searching mines in the fields, the process occurs remotely and this saves the lives of farmers, simplifying the work of sappers," the report said. Metal detectors are attached to the tractor.
The front one captures the information and transmits it online to the control center. If a dangerous object is detected on the way, the tractor automatically stops and awaits further instructions from the operator. The technology is primarily relevant for the regions of Ukraine where hostilities has taken place.
The developers believe that later it will be also in demand for 30% of the so far occupied territory of Ukraine, since demining the territories will be the first priority after their liberation.

"The company demonstrates the development of unmanned equipment that will work to return to production of land in the liberated territories. A lot of them are mined," said Viacheslav Sokolovyi. The Chairman of the Vinnytsia Regional Council noted that the production of agricultural products was the food security of the country.
