Ukraine’s defence minister hopes for fighter jets to be supplied to Ukraine

Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defence of Ukraine, has said that his country hopes to receive military aircraft that could be a "game changer" in its fight against Russia after receiving tanks from allies. Source: Reznikov in an interview with CBC Details: The minister read his "wish list" of weapons that Ukraine needs: fighter jets, other combat aircraft and long range missiles.

At the same time, he emphasised that Ukraine is not interested in strikes on the territory of Russia, but only in the destruction of ammunition storage posts and command posts of the Russian army.

The minister said that he hoped for two more weeks of negotiations on fighter jets for Ukraine. He believes in a positive decision, as it was with air defence systems and long range artillery. Quote from Reznikov: "For me, everything impossible today [will become] possible tomorrow."
