Zelenskyy expects “practical steps” towards convergence with EU within next six months

Ukraine expects that it will be possible for practical steps towards European integration to be taken during Sweden's presidency of the Council of the European Union. Stockholm had announced in advance that its priority will be to deal with the consequences of Russia's war against Ukraine.

The EU Council presidency lasts for six months, after which Sweden will be replaced by Spain.
