CNN reported about this with reference to the sources in US intelligence.
Sources familiar with the intelligence say that a final decision is yet to be made in Beijing, but talks between Russia and China on the supply of weapons are ongoing. It is noted that since invading Ukraine, Russia has repeatedly requested drones and ammunition from China. Chinese leadership has been actively debating over the last several months whether or not to send the lethal aid.
According to CNN, in recent weeks, US intelligence officers have collected information that indicates that China is now leaning towards providing the equipment.

It regards the possible supply of the Russian army with drones and ammunition. According to intelligence information, it is most likely the ammunition for small arms, and not for artillery.
Such supplies would mean a significant increase in China's support for Russia. "It would also provide a potentially significant boost to Russian capabilities at a critical moment," the media pointed out. It is reported that so far Russian cooperation with Chinese companies has been limited to the supply of non-lethal aid to the Russian Federation in the form of protective equipment: helmets, body armor, and satellite imagery.
