Kharkiv National Police prevents Redan Group riots: looking for organisers now
The head of the investigative department of National Police in Kharkiv Oblast, Serhii Bolvinov, has reported that law enforcement officers prevented mass riots among supporters of youth Redan Group movement and initiated searches at houses of possible organisers. Details: According to him, the supporters of the Redan Group movement had intentions to start a fight with representatives of the opposite subculture, offniks [young football fans who are often considered hooligans - ed.], on 27 February.
The police found out about the riots on time and prevented them from happening. The police identified 245 people who were supposed to have participated in the riots, of whom only 30 were majors. Of the minors, 149 were boys and 66 were girls.
Bolvinov reported that all participants were taken to police stations for identification and details: investigators are establishing information about the organisers of these meetings.
In addition, National Police have found internal Telegram channels that teenagers used to meet and coordinate. Everyone was identified. Bolvinov appealed to parents to control their children.
