Russians conduct 3 strikes on Khmelnytskyi: killed and wounded reported

One person has been killed, four more have been wounded in Russian strikes on the city of Khmelnytskyi on the night of 26-27 February. Source: Serhii Hamalii, Head of Khmelnytskyi Oblast Military Administration, on Telegram Quote from Hamalii: "At night, the Ruscists [Russian soldiers]  attacked Khmelnytskyi Oblast once more.

They delivered three strikes on the city of Khmelnytskyi. Preliminary reports indicate that one person has been killed and four have been wounded."     Details: Head of Oblast Military Administration noted that civilian homes sustained damage.

As of 7:30, fire-fighting operations are ongoing.  Khmelnytskyi mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn has reported that the deceased was a rescue worker from the State Emergency Service. He died in the line of duty. 

Background:

  • Air-raid warnings were issued in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, as well as in a number of other oblasts, on the evening of Sunday, 26 February.
  • Explosions rocked the city of Khmelnytskyi while the air-raid warning was in place.. 
  • Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down 11 Shahed drones overnight; the Russians used a total of 14 drones to carry out the attacks.
