Russians do everything to prevent connection of Zaporizhzhia NPP to Ukraine’s energy network

Everything the Russians do at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is aimed at preventing its fast connection to the Ukrainian energy network after the plant's liberation.  Source: Herman Haluschenko, Ukraine's Minister of Energy, during the national joint 24/7 newscast, reports Ukrinform According to Haluschenko, the situation at the plant is deteriorating in several ways.

First, the Russians are putting pressure on the power plant's staff because they have not received the number of people they wanted to sign contracts with. Secondly, the operation of the plant itself is carried out in such a way that the existing equipment is impaired.  Halushchenko noted that such actions by the Russians are aimed at making it impossible to immediately connect the plant to the Ukrainian power network when it will be under Ukrainian control.

In addition, the discharging of water in the Kakhovka reservoir by the Russians poses a threat to the operation of the Zaporizhzhya NPP.

The State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate banned the operation of Power Units 3, 4, 5, and 6 of the Zaporizhzhia NPP due to the inability to eliminate the identified violations of nuclear and radiation safety requirements.
