Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence does not confirm seizure of villages by Russia that it claims to have captured
Ukrainian Defence Intelligence has not confirmed Russia's seizure of a number of villages, including one near Bakhmut, which was announced by Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu on Tuesday. Source: press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Quote: "Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu stated at a conference call that the occupying army has full control over the settlements of Soledar, Klishchiivka, Krasnopillia, Blahodatne, Mykolaivka in Donetsk Oblast, as well as Pidhirne and Lobkove in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
Ukrainian troops were withdrawn from the city of Soledar on 25 January, which was officially reported by the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As for other settlements, their capture by the enemy is currently not confirmed. The Ukrainian defence forces keep defending on each of the mentioned fronts." Details: The Main Intelligence Directorate also emphasised that Shoigu deliberately did not mention the fact that the forces of the Wagner PMC were actively involved in combat on all the indicated fronts.
In addition, this information, as the Intelligence Service claims, is suppressed by the Russian propagandist media, which indicates the continuation of the conflict among the military and political leadership of the Russian Federation.
