Zelenskyy addresses Lithuania, Germany, and Denmark with thanks
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has released video addresses to the Lithuanians, Germans and Danes, thanking them for their countries' contributions to supporting Ukraine. Zelenskyy then spoke on the air of a special newscast, next to the top officials of Lithuania. In his address to the Lithuanians, the president mentioned that Ukraine and Lithuania are united by centuries of common history, and both nations know well what the struggle for freedom is. "Now is a great time. A time when we can win and guarantee our freedom, not just for years, not just for decades.
Now is the time when we can protect our freedom forever... Russian revanchism must forever forget about Kyiv and Vilnius, about Chisinau and Warsaw, about our brothers in Latvia and Estonia, in Georgia, and in every other country that is now threatened by Russian murderers. We can do it.
We have this historic chance," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
He expressed gratitude for the fact that Lithuania is doing "everything it can" to support Ukraine and not miss this historic chance, and Ukraine will always remember it. "I believe that this year we can add another milestone to our history: our joint victory in the war against a common enemy," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. The president also mentioned the "peace formula" proposed by Ukraine, which includes mechanisms to prevent new Russian aggression. Zelenskyy's address to Germany was broadcast in front of top officials at the Bellevue Palace, the official residence of the President of Germany.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy recalled the consequences of the first year of aggression: the existing security architecture and economic cooperation proved unable to restrain Russian tanks, but Europe and the entire free world managed to unite in support of Ukraine and common values. "Are we capable of winning? Yes, we are capable of it through unity, determination, and inevitability.
We are capable of putting an end to Russian aggression this year... People of Germany, now is the time when, with our courage and our weapons, we can restore peace and create a historically important fuse for new aggressions. No one will dare to attack another nation again if they know that the free world will protect this nation (...) and when they know that there is not a single occupier left on the entire territory of Ukraine.
We can ensure this together," Zelenskyy emphasised and he also thanked Germany for all the assistance provided. In Denmark, Zelenskyy's address seems to have been broadcast in front of people who went to a solidarity rally with Ukraine in the centre of the capital. "Thank you for realising that freedom cannot be just a dream, it must be an action to protect life and people, rules and respect, justice and security.
People of Denmark, thank you for your actions! For the weapons that help our defence. For the policy that helps isolate the aggressor.
For your willingness to join our reconstruction after hostilities. And, of course, for your belief that the project of a united and free Europe cannot be complete without Ukraine's full integration," the President of Ukraine noted, adding special thanks to Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and parliamentarians. On the anniversary of the start of the full-scale war, demonstrations of solidarity with Ukraine were held in many European cities, as well as in Georgia. Russian tanks destroyed in Ukraine were also exhibited in Berlin, Riga, and Tallinn.
