Zelenskyy arrives in France to meet Macron and Scholz
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in France on the evening of Wednesday, 8 February, after spending the day in the UK. This is Zelenskyy's second foreign visit since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion. Source: European Pravda
Details: Zelenskyy's plane landed at the Paris Orly Airport around 21:45. He was met by a guard of honour and French Defence Minister Sebastien Lecornu.
After a brief photo op at the aircraft steps, Zelenskyy headed to the Elysee Palace where he met French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for dinner. Scholz arrived in Paris earlier the same day.
On Thursday Zelenskyy will take part in the EU summit in Brussels.
Media reported that in the morning the Ukrainian president will address the European Parliament plenary during a short, one-hour session. He will later attend the EU summit. Zelenskyy said that he will discuss the supply of long-range missiles to Ukraine with European Union leaders.
