Air-raid warning issued across most of Ukraine: sounds of explosions in Poltava Oblast
Air-raid warnings were issued in Kyiv and in a number of Oblasts in the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Ukraine on the evening of Wednesday, 1 March. Source: Air Raid map of Ukraine; Dmytro Lunin, Head of Poltava Oblast Military Administration, on Telegram Details: Sumy Oblast was the first to issue an air-raid warning at 18:57, followed by Poltava and Chernihiv Oblasts, then Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv oblasts, then Kyiv (19:04) and Kyiv Oblast (19:05), then Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson (19:19) oblasts.
Dmytro Lunin, Head of Poltava Oblast Military Administration, said: "There is a threat of a missile strike! Remain in shelters! We believe in the Ukrainian Armed Forces!"
The sounds of explosions have been heard in Khemenchuk district in Poltava Oblast, Suspilne national broadcaster reports, citing local residents.
At 19:21, an all-clear was issued in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Kherson and Chernihiv oblasts.
