They reported that grenade launchers were issued to Ukrainian servicemen from the 24th Mechanized Brigade that is located on the south of Bakhmut. These hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers are produced by the Bulgarian Vazovski Mashinostroitelny Zavod (VMZ) arms company. They are based on the Soviet RPG-22 anti-tank grenade launcher, which was previously produced by the Bulgarian defense industry under license.

A TB-22M thermobaric round was also developed for the grenade launcher. According to the developer's website, the maximum range of firing of this Bullspike RPG is 350 meters, direct fire - 150 meters, armor penetration - 400 mm.
