In Kyiv Oblast, young man brings hand grenade home and nearly dies

A 21-year-old guy has lost his arm due to a grenade explosion; he found and brought the device home.  Source: Andrii Niebytov, Head of the National Police in Kyiv Oblast, on Telegram Quote from Niebytov: "He found a grenade, took it home, and was nearly killed.

An explosion just tore off the left hand of a 21-year-old guy in Fastiv district. His mother heard the grenade exploding, she came in the room, saw her son in blood and all the damaged furniture."

Details: Niebytov has pointed out that policemen already found a pin at the scene. Investigation is ongoing. 

Niebytov has also highlighted that carelessness with explosives can cost lives, and urged citizens who find any suspicious items to report them to law enforcement agencies immediately.
