Painting by an unknown artist "Seascape" [Near the coast of Greece], 1907The picture shows only a fragment of the painting, so the identification process took some time. "The assumptions were made right away, but the photo of the painting was made in an angle. And for some time, there were doubts whether it was even there.
It is not until we 'did some magic' with graphic programs, deformed the visible part [of the photo - ed.] and superimposed it on the photo of the original painting, everything coincided. In addition, the frame is the same as on the original painting," said the scientific employee of the museum. Before the beginning of restoration work in the Kherson Museum, the Seascape was exhibited in the concert hall.
