Ukrainian defenders repel over 140 Russian attacks – General Staff report

Ukrainian warriors repelled over 140 enemy attacks yesterday on these fronts. The enemy carried out 50 airstrikes and 5 missile strikes. The enemy used 11 Shahed-136 UAV, 9 of which were shot down, in its air attacks.
In addition, the occupiers deployed multiple-launch rocket systems to fire 59 times, hitting settlements in particular. The threat of Russia launching missile strikes throughout Ukraine remains high."
Details: There were no signs of the formation of new hostile groups for an offensive on the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts. Areas in and around Senkinka and Karpovychi (Chernihiv Oblast), Starikove, Holyshivske, Pavlivka, Volfyne and Hrabovske (Sumy Oblast), and Veterynarne, Strilecha, Krasne, Ternova, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk and Budarky (Kharkiv Oblast) came under Russian fire yesterday.
On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, Russian forces were trying to break through the Ukrainian defence. They conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near Hrianykivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka and Fedorivka. They also shelled the vicinity of Putnykove, Fyholivka, Dvorichna, Hrianykivka and Krokhmalne (Kharkiv Oblast), Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka and Dibrova (Luhansk Oblast), and Terny, Yampil, Rozdolivka and Fedorivka (Donetsk Oblast).
Russian troops continue to assault the city of Bakhmut and its neighbouring settlements on the Bakhmut front, even despite suffering significant losses. The occupiers carried out 37 attacks near the village of Dubovo-Vasylivka alone. In addition, Russian forces conducted offensives near Bilohorivka, Fedorivka, Zaliznianske, Yahidne and Ivanivka - all without success.
They used mortars and artillery to fire on the settlements of Zaliznianske, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Druzhba, Toretsk, Maiorsk and New-York in Donetsk Oblast.

Russian forces continued to carry out unsuccessful attacks on Ukrainian positions on the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk fronts near the settlements of Novokalynove, Krasnohorivka, Kamianka, Sievierne, Pervomaiske, Nevelske and Marinka (Donetsk Oblast). Areas in and around Krasnohorivka, Kamianka, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Sievierne, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Marinka, Vuhledar and Velyka Novosilka were targeted by Russian fire.
Russian forces are on the defensive on the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts. They shelled Vremivka (Donetsk Oblast), Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Kamianske and Tavriiske (Zaporizhzhia Oblast), Nikopol (Dnipropetrovsk Oblast), and Zmiivka, Shliakhove, Kozatske, Olhivka, Tiahynka, Antonivka, Bilozerka and Kherson (Kherson Oblast). The General Staff has reported that the occupiers keep putting residents of Zaporizhzhia Oblast under pressure in order to achieve their goal of issuing Russian passports.
Therefore, starting from 1 January, people who do not obtain a Russian Federation passport cannot receive any payment, including salaries, because this should be done exclusively via Russian bank cards. Ukrainian Air Force carried out 15 strikes on clusters of Russian military manpower and hit an anti-aircraft missile system at its firing position. Apart from Shahed-136 UAVs, Ukrainian defenders shot down a Russian Su-25 bomber jet and eight more drones of various types.
Units of Ukraine's Rocket Forces and Artillery hit a command post, eight clusters of Russian soldiers, two air defence systems, an artillery unit at its firing position, an ammunition storage point and a radar station.
