A Russian T-90A tank captured by the Defense Forces of Ukraine was spotted in the United States. The photo featuring the combat vehicle was published on Reddit. The invaders lost their T-90A tank during hostilities last year.

The released photos feature the tank being placed on a platform designed for transporting equipment.

According to the information portal "Tysk", this tank belonged to the 27th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which is involved in a full-scale war against Ukraine as part of the Russian invasion forces.

This tank was captured by the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on September 25, 2022. The capture happened in the village of Kurylivka, Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region. The conditions of the Russian tank arriving in the USA are currently unknown.

This T-90A is assumed to be displayed at an exhibition that will present to the Americans the destroyed and captured military equipment that Russia uses in its war of aggression against Ukraine. The Ukrainian side holds similar exhibitions of the destroyed invader equipment in various European countries, and now it seems that a similar display will also be presented in the United States.

The T-90A tank is a modernization of the Soviet-made T-72B tanks. Its updates are aimed at significantly improving all combat characteristics of the tank. Serial modification of the T-90 under index A had been produced between 2004 and 2011.

The tank was equipped with a B-92S2 engine with a capacity of 1000 hp, an improved welded turret of increased stability instead of a cast one, and a 2A46M-5 gun.
