CORONATION CHAOS: Sources close to Prince Harry confirmed that the couple had made "no decision" regarding their attendance at the coronation (Photo by POOL/AFP via Getty Images) By Russell Myers As the King's coronation approaches on May 6, organisers are facing a daunting deadline to finalise the event.

However, their efforts are reportedly being complicated by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's failure to confirm their attendance, creating significant challenges and causing headaches for the organisers. According to the Mirror, sources close to Prince Harry recently confirmed "no decision" had been made by the couple. The Sussexes, who gave up their royal duties in 2020, were aware of the April 3 deadline, but officials at Buckingham Palace are still unsure of their attendance.

This prevents event planners from approving the final details of their plans, including seating arrangements, transportation and VIP security.

Even though the May 6 ceremony is just over three weeks away, Buckingham Palace acknowledged last night that seating arrangements are still pending. According to royal sources, organisers are growing increasingly frustrated with the couple, who have spent the last two years criticising the monarchy after leaving to pursue careers in the corporate world. In recent weeks, the Duke and Duchess have been communicating with the palace via email.

However, according to reports, Harry remains in a "predicament" about whether to attend the coronation or not.

Although palace insiders anticipate his attendance, it remains unclear whether Meghan will accompany him due to their son Archie's fourth birthday falling on the same day as the coronation. Sources suggest that Meghan may opt to stay in the US to celebrate the occasion. A source with knowledge of the plans, said: "They (Harry and Meghan) still haven't confirmed either way.

Of course, they will be afforded extra time, but in all honesty, everyone is exasperated with them."

Last week, the Mirror disclosed that Harry and Meghan, who currently reside in Montecito, California, will not be included in the plans for the coronation day finale on the iconic Buckingham Palace balcony, featuring the Red Arrows. The King stated that he intends to celebrate this historic moment exclusively with the "working royals" - individuals who have devoted their lives to the monarchy and public service. According to a source: "His Majesty wants to be surrounded by those who he considers to be the heartbeat and future of his family.

Therefore, there is no place for the Duke and Duchess (of Sussex) or the Duke of York." Palace sources said they would continue to plan for the Sussexes to attend "unless advised otherwise". Do you think Harry and Meghan should attend King Charles III's coronation?
