Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were captured smiling and giggling on a kiss cam at a Los Angeles basketball game, just days after it emerged only one of them would attend the Coronation. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex laughed awkwardly when they were caught on camera at the NBA basketball game last night, but despite Harry's apparent enthusiasm Meghan seemingly declined a kiss as they appeared on the big screen in front of 20,000 people. The Royal couple were at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown LA when they appeared on the jumbotron.
Harry had been talking to another spectator as they were shown on screen, leaving Meghan waving and smiling.

The announcement followed weeks of reports and suggestions of turmoil between the self-exiled Royal couple and The Firm over their Coronation appearance. The pair delighted fans at the game as Meghan made her second public outing in a matter of days after she made a surprise appearance introducing her friend, Misan Harriman's, TED Talk.

It was also Meghan's first appearance since reports surfaced that she wrote a personal letter to the King over her concerns of racism within the Royal Family.

In the interview, Meghan claimed a member of the royal family had speculated about how dark their unborn son's skin would be. The claims in March 2021 plunged the monarchy into crisis as the Windsors faced allegations of racism.
It was reported that Meghan's letter was sent in response to a letter from Charles, in which he expressed his sadness over the split within the family.
The letters are also said to make clear the identity of the senior royal who made the comment, with both Meghan and Charles acknowledging that the remark was not made maliciously.
