Harry is 'homesick' but has 'found his vibe' in California', says …

Prince Harry is "very settled" in the US but "does miss home", a friend of Meghan Markle has reportedly said. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex live with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in a house they bought in Montecito, Santa Barbara in 2020. "Harry has definitely found his vibe and is very settled in California.

But he does miss home," said Meghan's friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin, the People reports. Daniel and Meghan have been friends since they met during filming of Suits in Toronto, Canada back in 2011. And he was responsible for creating Meghan's incredible natural make-up look at her 2018 wedding.

Harry has previously said he enjoys the open space he's surrounded by while living in California.

In the couple's interview with Oprah in 2021 he explained: "To have outdoor space where I can go for walks with Archie and we go for walks as a family and with the dogs. You know, we go on hikes or go down to the beach, which is so close." The prince, a big fan of polo, is a member of the 'Los Padres' team at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club in and has been photographed playing with them a few times.

Harry and Meghan left the UK in March 2020 shortly after they quit life as working royals and lived for a while at a property owned by actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry in Los Angeles. They bought the house in the celebrity-filled coastal town of Montecito for £14.65 million in the summer of 2020. The 14,500sq ft nine bedroom property, built in 2003, sits on 7.4 acres of grounds that include a pool, tennis court, tea house and children's cottage.

According to a property listing online it "includes a library, office, spa with a separate dry and wet sauna, gym, game room, arcade, theater, wine cellar and five-car garage".

Earlier this year they were asked to vacate Frogmore Cottage in the grounds of Windsor Castle in Berkshire, a gift to them from the late Queen. The pair had spent around GBP2.4 million on the house between 2018-19, which was initially covered by taxpayers through the Sovereign Grant, but has since been repaid in full by the duke. They were reportedly told to leave the property in January, days after Harry published his explosive memoir, Spare.

It's believed, however, Harry will stay at the house during his trip to the UK for next month's Coronation.
