‘He’s not a terrorist’: Ernest Owens says entire conversation about …

American journalist Ernest Owens has told Piers Morgan Uncensored that the entire conversation about whether Prince Harry declared his prior drug use on his United States visa application is "just a bunch of rubbish." US right-wing think tank the Heritage Foundation has submitted a Freedom of Information request to have the Duke of Sussex's visa application be made public, after the father-of-two admitting to using substances 12 times in his tell-all memoir Spare. The editor-at-large for Philadelphia Magazine told Morgan host Rosanna Lockwood that Harry poses zero threat to the United States and is being used as pawn by conservatives.

"Prince Harry does not pose a threat to the United States," Mr Owens said.

Prince Harry's drug admissions prompt speculation US authorities will 'get involved'

"What is he doing? He's not a terrorist. He doesn't pose any criminal record that would suggest that he would be an endangerment in America.

"So I just think the entire conversation, is really just a bunch of rubbish". US immigration authorities have until April 12 to respond to the request. Under U.S. immigration law, travellers applying for a green card or visa has to declare whether they are or have ever been a drug addict or abuser.

Mr Owens said the California-living royal has "embraced American culture" and is now "one of us". "I think that he has really embraced the American culture," he added. "He's very modern, he's progressive and he really represents the kind of spirit that a lot of particularly millennials and Gen Zers look for in a public figure such as him.

So think he fits in quite well.

"I mean big Hollywood moguls like Tyler Perry let him stay at his mansion.

He's one of us, in a certain sense."
