Homesick Prince Harry was "desperate" to be back in London for King Charles' coronation, trying repeatedly to get in contact with his dad to no avail, palace sources said. Prince Harry tried repeatedly to call King Charles to discuss plans, but an insider says the monarch has only had time to time to chat once since becoming king. A source told The Sun: "Harry was desperate to come back for the coronation and spend quality time with his family."

The fissure deepened even further earlier this year, when Prince Harry published a memoir with a series of damning claims against his dad and the rest of the firm. It was around this time when Prince Harry reportedly tried to get in contact with the King.
Despite all the mud-slinging, insiders said there was "willingness and wanting to mend on both sides". They added that the King is "happy" with his son's decision and "understanding" of Meghan staying behind in their plush mansion in Montecito, California, which they moved to shortly after they stepped back from royal duties.

He will also not be invited to stand and wave to crowds of people with King Charles and other members of the Firm on the balcony of Buckingham Palace as he is not officially a working royal.
