“It’s always through somebody”: Prince Harry Wasn’t Directly Invited …
The invitation to the historic royal event of the century has been made public. On April 6, Buckingham Palace posted the invitation to King Charles III's Coronation to their website. It has been revealed that more than 2,000 people would receive one soon.
However, Prince Harry was said to be disappointed when he didn't get the invitation he had hoped for. When he didn't receive the invitation from his father himself to the coronation on May 6, the Duke of Sussex reportedly was let down. Instead, the invitation to the coronation was sent to the Duke of Sussex via email from King Charles' office rather than a message from his father. The formal coronation ceremony for King Charles will take place in the United Kingdom on May 6.
It will be the first in 70 years to occur in the era of social media, much less the internet.

It became obvious that the "sit-down" planned to discuss their problems, which Prince Harry had hoped to have with his father after the publication of his memoir, Spare, would not likely happen.
This is because the Duke of Sussex reportedly received an invite via email about the royal event from King Charles' office rather than from his father. As per reports,
"They didn't hear from Charles. Harry wanted to hear from his father directly -- it's always through somebody."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's attendance at the historic coronation was still up in the air with just a few weeks until the event. But eventually, the estranged father and son connected, albeit virtually, and had "positive conversations," a source revealed.
Prince Harry 'Didn't Hear' Directly from King Charles About Coronation InvitePrince Harry made accusations of disloyalty and media slanting against the royal family in his memoir, Spare, which was published in January.
As per reports, King Charles was deeply saddened by these claims.

"But the door is always open. The ball is in their court. There's a lot to be discussed, and I really hope that they're willing to sit down and talk about it."
However, according to a source close to the royal family, Prince Harry attending the coronation would be King Charles' "first wish."

Prince Harry's participation in the coronation, which he will do without Meghan Markle will be bittersweet for him. He is also not anticipated to take part in any of the other events that are scheduled, including a balcony appearance from Buckingham Palace. But Prince Harry "will happily go along with whatever the plan is," a royal insider told PEOPLE, adding that his main concern was his security, which has been taken care of.
In Prince Harry's opinion, his decision to make a solo appearance at the coronation was entirely motivated by his desire to have a "family, not an institution," as he had previously stated.

The Duchess of Sussex will celebrate her son's 4th birthday with her 22-month-old daughter on the day of the coronation (May 6).
Both events fall on the same day.
