King Charles' coronation guest list: Here's who you can expect to see
With the Coronation of King Charles III approaching, world leaders, royals and celebrities from around the globe are set to descend on the United Kingdom for the glittering event. The King and soon-to-be Queen Camilla will be crowned at Westminster Abbey on May 6 amid what is set to be an extravagant three-day celebration.

Buckingham Palace confirmed invitations have already been sent, with the new king breaking royal tradition by extending an invitation to foreign royals and world leaders.
While Queen Elizabeth II's coronation was held in front of more than 8,000 guests, King Charles III has invited a modest 2,200 to witness the tradition. And while it's yet to be confirmed who will accept an invitation - including Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle - here are some of the famous faces we will likely see at the historic event.
The Prince and Princess of Wales
As heirs to the throne, Prince William and Kate Middleton, along with their three children Prince George Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will take pride of place at the official crowning ceremony. Royal expert Tessa Dunlop told The Mirror it's likely Prince William will be the only one to follow the tradition of "touching the crown and kissing the monarch's right cheek".
Prince George, who is now second in line to the British throne, is said to be taking on a special role too. It's expected the family will attend dressed in custom-made outfits and will march behind the King and Queen in the royal procession.

More royals
Other members of the royal family including Princess Anne, Prince Edward, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, and Princess Anne's daughter Zara Tindall and her husband Mike Tindall will all also attend.
Although they may be spectators at the event, they'll have the best seats in the house. It's understood Camilla's family, including her two children and her grandchildren, will also receive the royal treatment. However, it's unknown whether the King's brother, the disgraced Prince Andrew, will attend after he stepped down as a working royal in 2020 following negative publicity around his connection to convicted sex offender Jeffery Epstein.
Story continues It's also unlikely Prince Andrew's ex-wife Sarah Ferguson will be there, The Mail Online reports, after she revealed she was yet to receive an invitation, saying her attendance was still "to be decided".
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
While it's been confirmed that Harry and Meghan have both been asked to attend, they have not yet accepted their invitations. However, it is widely believed they will make an appearance.
"I can confirm the duke has recently received email correspondence from His Majesty's office regarding the coronation," a spokesman for the pair said in early March. He added that a decision would "not be disclosed at this time".

Following the release of their controversial Netflix series and Harry's explosive tell-all autobiography Spare, he has made it clear that things still aren't resolved with his father and brother.
He is reportedly seeking an apology before deciding to attend the coronation. Royal watchers worldwide will be waiting and watching to see if Prince Harry's royal roots remain strong, despite the messy fallout.
Royals from around the world
Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco were the first foreign royals to confirm they'll be at the glittering event, with the Prince telling People, "You know, I don't know how many coronations of an English monarch I'll see in my lifetime, so we'll try to take advantage of that."

We might even get a glimpse of Austrakian-born Crown Princess Mary, who will accompany her husband Crown Prince Frederik if Queen Margrethe II of Denmark is unable to attend following her recent surgery.

Celebrity guests
There are several celebrities set to make an appearance too, including those who joined Queen Elizabeth's jubilee celebrations. David and Victoria Beckham have had a long-standing relationship with the royal family and attended both Prince William and Prince Harry's weddings.

Actress Sandra Oh attended the Queen's funeral as part of the Canadian delegation and it's understood she will be invited to the coronation again in a similar role.
Meanwhile, British adventurer Bear Grylls, who was awarded an OBE by the Queen in 2019 and also attended her funeral, is set to be there too.
