Man, 41, suffers fatal injuries while working on car

The man was working on a car on a driveway on Broad Oak Way in Stevenage when it inexplicably moved and caused him fatal injuries. (Google Maps) Police have launched an investigation after a man was killed when he was apparently run over by a car while working on it. Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after the incident on Saturday afternoon (1 April) in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

They said it is believed that the 41-year-old man had been working on a black car on a driveway on Broad Oak Way just before 5pm.

For "reasons not yet known", they said the vehicle had moved, causing serious injuries to the man which later proved fatal.

Sergeant David McIlwhan, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, who is investigating the incident, said: "We are investigating the circumstances of this incident.
