New book reveals Catherine, Princess of Wales found walking …

Walking alongside Prince Harry and Meghan after the Queen's death was one of the most difficult things Catherine, Princess of Wales has had to do, a new book reveals.

Catherine, Prince William and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were pictured greeting and speaking to mourners outside Windsor Castle, just days after Queen Elizabeth II's death last year.

But Britain's Sun newspaper reports that veteran royal correspondent Robert Jobson has written in his new book, Our King, the appearance was only an illusion of unity.

"Catherine later admitted to a senior royal that, such was the ill feeling between the two couples, the joint walkabout was one of the hardest things she'd ever had to do," Jobson writes in the book.

His claims about the Princess of Wales' feelings come after Harry detailed his version of Kate and Meghan's so-called rift in his memoir, Spare.

The duke said in his book the two women had a disagreement over princesses Charlotte's dress for Sussex's wedding, and Kate refused to meet Meghan's tailors at Kensington Palace, The Sun reports.

Harry also claimed in the book William and Kate encouraged him to wear his notorious Nazi uniform to a fancy dress party.

Kensington Palace has declined to comment on Jobson's claims in Our King, The Sun reports.
