Poland launches military training courses for civilians

Mariusz Blaszczak, Minister of Defense of Poland, announced this. During the ceremonial opening of the program in the Warsaw Armored Brigade, Mariusz Blaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, spoke about the details of the campaign. "Today we're launching a new program called "Train Like a Soldier." For two weeks, we will offer military training courses to everybody interested," Mariusz Blaszczak said.

The Head of the Ministry of Defense emphasized that the organization of this type of training is important for increasing the reserves of the Polish Army. "Train like a Soldier" is a development of the previous project, "Train with the army".

Its goal is extensive training of participants and the development of the potential of the reserves of the Polish Army.

Military training courses details

"Train Like a Soldier" is an extended 16-day version of volunteer training. Training participation will be free of charge. In addition, volunteers will be offered a financial reward for successfully completing the training.

The training includes gun handling and shooting exercise, survival and hand-to-hand combat course, basic drills, and more. Military units will provide volunteers with food, accommodation, equipment, and insurance.

Training will be divided into two stages. The first is a preliminary two-day gathering in May, the second is a 14-day exercise that will be held in 30 military units across the country.

The training should end with taking a military oath and entering the reserve of the Polish Army.
