Mosa Jamal Abid (Met Police) Met Police[1] officers have located a "violent" killer who had absconded while on escorted leave from a secure hospital in west London[2]. Mosa Jamal Abid was on escorted leave when he visited a newsagents in Uxbridge Road[3], Ealing[4], and ran off at about 3pm on Monday, April 10.

Following an appeal[5] to find him, officers localed Abid after a member of the public reported seeing him in the Northolt area around 10am on Saturday. He has now been returned to hospital. Abid stabbed his cousin, Moamen Settar, to death in 2016 and was sentenced under the Mental Health Act two years later after pleading guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

Abid also absconded in October 2019 from Homerton Hospital[6] in Hackney[7], east London.
