Prince Harry and Queen Camilla row rumbles on as royals prep for …
With King Charles and Queen Camilla's Coronation just over two weeks away, lots of ongoing tensions are rising to the surface - including the ongoing dispute between Prince Harry and Camilla. Queen Camilla's son says his mum wasn't playing any "sort of end game" to get closer to the crown after Prince Harry's suggestions that she is a "villain". Tom Parker Bowles has insisted his mother married for love and there was nothing else to it.
The Duke of Sussex's controversial memoir Spare accused Camilla of "sacrificing" him on her "PR altar" for personal gain. Mr Parker Bowles told The News Agents podcast: "I don't care what anyone says -- this wasn't any sort of end game. She married the person she loved and this is what happened."
He isn't the first person to come out saying his mum wasn't playing any games with being brought into the Firm. Julian Payne, former communications secretary to Charles and Camilla, told the Sunday Times: "I genuinely don't think she was ever that bothered by the title." He added: "It was never a role that she actively campaigned for."
It comes as Prince Harry will see Camilla for the first time at the coronation since the Queen's funeral, releasing his book and his and Meghan Markle's Netflix documentary aired. Stay here for all the latest updates as the Coronation countdown hits 15 days.
