Prince Harry avoiding the Coronation 'could be the ultimate snub'
If Prince Harry chooses not to attend the Coronation of his father, King Charles, it would be seen as "the ultimate snub", a royal expert has claimed. There is a huge question mark over whether Prince Harry, 38, and his wife Meghan Markle, 41, will attend the historic event, after relations between them and the rest of the royals have soured over the past few years. They have so far not revealed if they will be at the Coronation on 6 May, but it is thought that a decision is imminent.
A source told The Times: "I hear they are going to confirm their plans soon, particularly now that Biden has."

Author Tom Quinn said: "If Harry doesn't come it will never be forgotten. It's the ultimate snub. You're not coming to your father's Coronation, the King's Coronation.
There's no going back from that. He even suggested that the Sussexes may come up with a "plausible reason" as to why they can't attend the Coronation, but that it wouldn't be believable. "They might be able to come up with a plausible reason such as they are worried about security or the kids.

The author also claimed that it is "highly unlikely" that Harry and Meghan's children, Archie and Lilbet, will attend the Coronation too. Archie's fourth birthday just so happens to fall on the same day as the Coronation, so that could be a reason that Meghan and Harry do not attend the event. If they do go, it's likely to be a little awkward for them due to relations with the rest of the family thought to be at an all-time low.
Meghan and Harry sensationally quit the royal family in 2020 before upping sticks and moving to California with their son Archie, before they later welcomed Lilibet Diana.

They also made a six-part documentary about their love and experience as royals in a Netflix documentary, and in January, Harry's highly-anticipated memoir, Spare, was released to the world, containing a number of jaw-dropping claims. In it, Harry claimed that his brother, Prince William physically attacked him during an argument in 2019.
After first hearing of his intention to pursue a serious romance with Meghan, Harry claims his brother William had been incredibly "discouraging" and even attempted to dissuade him from doing so, despite the sincerity of his feelings. "It's too fast, he'd told me. Too soon," Harry wrote, while recalling William's response to his decision to propose.
